The Montgomery County Commission will meet today for the first time in two weeks after last week's meeting was canceled due to weather.

On the agenda for today's meeting will be a review of health insurance benefits for county employees. The commission is expected to approve a contract with the Bukaty Companies of Kansas City for a consulting agreement. In new business, commissioners will consider donations to support After Prom activities for area schools. They will also discuss the purchase of a new water truck and a new dump truck for the Public Works Department while hearing an update on emulsion pricing for chip and seal projects.

Today's meeting begins at 9am in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The meeting is open to the public and is also available for viewing online via the County's FaceBook page.
