A teenage boy is dead following a rollover crash early yesterday morning in western Kansas.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 16-year-old Augustus Riley was traveling eastbound on Road 9 in rural Seward County just before 2am yesterday. Riley failed to stop at a stop sign at the junction with US-83 and his 2009 Dodge Challenger became airborne. When the vehicle landed, it went into a side skid and entered the ditch where it rolled an unknown number of times before striking a power pole.
Riley was pronounced dead at the scene.
