The Kansas Turnpike Authority is issuing a warning about a new text scam that is circulating.
The K-T-A says the scam involves victims receiving a text that states the recipient has an outstanding toll that has not been paid. The text then gives a date that payment is due and says non-payment will result in the loss of the recipient's drivers’ license. A link is then provided.
K-T-S says it does not send unsolicited texts and that these are scams to steal personal information. To learn more about KTA scams, go here.
