A small airplane on its way to a Fort Scott airport crashes in a field thirty miles from its destination.
The plane left the Northwest Arkansas National Airport in Bentonville, Arkansas, around 9:40 yesterday morning and was scheduled to land in Fort Scott around 11:30. the pilot – 42-year-old Matthew Evans of Indianapolis, Indiana, – says he believes the plane's fuel line froze in the cold weather, causing the crash. Evans was the only person on the plane and was uninjured in the accident.
The Kansas Highway Patrol and Linn County Sheriff's deputies, EMS, and Fire responded to the scene.
