MO Governor Signs Executive Order Banning DEI in State Agencies

The Governor of Missouri signs an executive order banning the use of state funds for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at state agencies.

Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe signed the order this week that would eliminate DEI-based programs. The order says that State agencies must uphold the constitutional principle of equal treatment under the law and prohibits the use of DEI factors in hiring decisions. It also requires state agencies to complete a comprehensive review of existing contracts, programs, and policies within 90 days to ensure compliance with the order. State agencies will continue to enforce all laws that prohibit discrimination and ensure fairness for all citizens.
