Winter weather may be hanging around longer than most desire, but spring is around the corner and with it, a chance to play flag football.

 

Registration for spring flag football with the Caney Recreation Commission is currently open, with the deadline to sign up nearing on March 1st. There will be an optional free skills camp in Caney on March 1st, with practices beginning the week of March 10th, and games played on Saturdays in April.

 

The cost to register is $40 if registering to play for a Caney 1st-8th grade team, and a $200 fee for out of town players or teams. The recreation commission provides balls, fields, referees, and belts, and there are four different divisions: 1st and 2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, and High School.
