Snow Stops But Weather Continues to Be an Issue

The winter storm has passed and area residents begin the process of digging out from the snow.

Area schools and municipalities that were closed yesterday will remain closed today, though Bartlesville Public Schools will move to distance learning today. Most city and county offices remain closed as well, but emergency services are still available.

Roads across the area remain hazardous and snow-packed, with drifting in some places. Snow plows and sand trucks are out and about as road crews from cities, counties and the state are working hard to clear the roads. Those who do need to be out on the roads today are advised to leave at least 200 feet between you and any road crew trucks for your safety and theirs. Drive with your headlights in the on position instead of relying on the automatic setting to improve visibility.

If you don't have to be out today, stay home and stay safe.
