The railroad work scheduled to begin today on US_75 in Neodesha is rescheduled due to the inclement weather.

The Kansas Department of Transportation says the start date for the project has been moved to next Monday, February 24. The Union Pacific Railroad will be installing a new crossing on US-75 or West Main Street in Neodesha and will also rebuild the existing Union Pacific Crossing as well as connecting to lines from the South Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad.

US-75 through Neodesha will be closed to traffic for the duration of the project, which is estimated to be four to six weeks. Drivers in the area will follow a detour along K-47 and US-400 to avoid the closure.
