The City of Neodesha Is taking part in a unique, nationwide program aimed at increasing the population and economic activity of the city.

 

Neodesha is taking part in the Make My Move program that offers financial incentives to workers to move to the city and work remotely. Incentives offered by the city to potential applicants include a 100% Kansas State Income Tax Waiver for the 2026 tax year, student loan repayment assistance, and a neighborhood revitalization plan for property improvements. Mayor Devin Johnson says the only monetary bonus offered by the city itself is a year-long pass to the Neodesha Splash Zone.

 

Johnson says most of the incentives are paid for by the Wilson County Medical Center, the Promise Fund, and USD 461. Johnson says the goal of the program is to increase Neodesha's population.
