Work is set to begin on Tuesday on a Neodesha railroad crossing that will close US-75 through the city.
The Union Pacific Railroad will be installing new tracks at the crossing of US-75 or West Main Street in Neodesha. The work will connect lines from the South Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad with the Union Pacific tracks.
Beginning next Tuesday, February 18, US-75 through Neodesha will be closed to traffic for the duration of the project, which is estimated to be four to six weeks. Drivers in the area will follow a detour along K-47 and US-400 to avoid the closure.
