The Coffeyville Community College Humanities Project continues its concert series on Tuesday with a performance by Lemuel Sheppard.
Sheppard is a folk musician and cultural ambassador who has earned accolades from the Kansas Folklore Society, the Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame, and Pittsburg State University, where he received an Outstanding Alumni Award. His career highlights include a performance at the Kennedy Center and composing the soundtrack for the PBS documentary Black, White & Brown, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education. Sheppard has performed for audiences worldwide, fostering cultural understanding through his music.
Lemuel Sheppard will perform Tuesday night at 6pm in the Spencer Rounds Theater on the CCC Campus. Admission is free.
