The Independence City Commission will consider approval of an agreement to replace the HVAC system at Memorial Hall.

 

The commission will consider a proposal that would replace the current heating and cooling system in the historic building. The measure up for consideration would authorize the city to spend no more than $48,000 for the new system. The project would be included in the City's 2026 Capital Improvement Plan budget.

 

The commission is also expected to approve an agreement with the Sports Car Club of America to hold racing events at the Independence Municipal Airport in April and September and to agree to a contract with Bartlett to accept wastewater from the plant.
