The anticipated zoning decision in Wilson County regarding the Sunflower Skies solar project has been delayed due to the weather.

 

Commissioners have postponed the official decision on the issue to a future meeting, due to difficulties from both Savion and Evergy in attending this week's meeting, after the snow and ice from the winter storm.

 

The commission did hold a brief meeting this week and heard updates from County Coordinator Kris Marple, Road and Bridge Director Kary Tatum, County Clerk Kayla Busch, and Sheriff Pete Kuhn.

 

The next meeting will be February 19th at 9 a.m. in Room 101 of the County Courthouse in Fredonia.
