If the recent blast of winter weather has you down, you might want to try some indoor fun at the Independence Historical Museum and Art Center.

This Friday there will be free folk dancing at the museum. Independence Chamber President Lisa Wilson says the all-ages event is an evening of family fun.

Guests will be able to learn simple steps of traditional dances from around the world this Friday night at the Museum in downtown Independence. Refreshments will be served.
