Early morning road conditions lead to a head-on collision in Cherokee County.
Two people were injured this morning after a driver lost control on the icy roads just north of Columbus. The accident happened just before 7am on US-69 when a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic driven by 20-year-old Kennedy Hosher of Olive Branch, Mississippi, crossed the center line and struck a 2014 Dodge Avenger driven by 57-year-old Shirley Young of Neosho. Both drivers were injured in the crash and were taken to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg.
Two passengers in Young's vehicle were uninjured.
