A Lawrence County, Missouri, man arrested for shooting an Amazon driver with a pellet gun last week now faces a first-degree murder charge after the victim dies.
64-year-old Thomas Coy of Wentworth, MO, was arrested last week after allegedly shooting an Amazon driver in the head with a pellet gun. The incident caused the driver to crash her vehicle into an open field. When emergency crews took the woman to a nearby hospital, doctors discovered that she had been shot in the head.
Authorities say the victim – 23-year-old Jasmine Taylor – passed away from her injuries at Joplin's Mercy Hospital on Sunday.
Coy remains in the Lawrence County Jail.
