The USD 447 Cherryvale-Thayer School Board will meet tonight with the approval of the replacement Cherryvale High School track at Logan Park on the agenda.

 

The track replacement is in the first stage of a four-stage process. The current track is in need of replacement and the Board is expected to approve the development of the request for proposal or R-F-P stage. The next stage will be R-F-P issuance and a period for securing bids.

 

The Board is also expected to approve proposals from Energy Solutions Professionals and R-O-I Energy for lighting upgrades for LED fixtures for all school buildings in the district. The initial cost for the upgrade is expected to pay for itself in lower energy bills over the next five years.

 

A memo of understanding with Greenbush will also be up for discussion. The memo would allow the district to provide virtual services to any student that might need those services. The approval would allow funding to be available for those services.

 

Tonight's meeting takes place at 7pm in the library at Cherryvale Middle/Senior High School.
