The City of Parsons is looking for a new City Administrator.
The move comes after current City Administrator Debbie Lamb announced her retirement effective in March. Lamb has served the City of Parsons in various capacities for 50 years. Her efforts were recently recognized by the Parsons City Commission.
The City has hired the Kansas League of Municipalities to assist in their search for candidates for the position. So far, 10 people have applied for the job. The deadline for applications in February 18. The search committee – made up of the five city commissioners and four citizens – plan to hold an executive session on March 3rd to begin reviewing applications to decide which candidates will be called for interviews.
