The City of Coffeyville is ready to paint the town purple in anticipation for the upcoming Alumni Weekend.
Alumni Weekend is coming up on February 21st and 22nd. Coffeyville Reawakenings' Shanna Motl says the celebration is for anyone who has lived in Coffeyville or attended Coffeyville schools.
Part of the celebration is the Paint the Town Purple campaign. USD 445 is asking local businesses to show their Golden Tornado pride. Motl says it's an effort to show how much Coffeyville supports its youth.
Businesses that want to participate can email alumni@cvilleschools.com to enter. The winning business gets a $100 voucher to use toward their electric bill, courtesy of the City of Coffeyville.
Anyone who would like a yard sign can get one for $5 by contacting the USD 445 Board office at 615 Ellis Street
