The City of Neodesha Public Works Department will be flushing fire hydrants around the city today and tomorrow.

The flushing of hydrants is done regularly to allow a large volume of water to flow out, which helps to clear sediment and debris from the water mains, effectively cleaning the system and ensuring proper water pressure and functionality of the hydrants in case of an emergency. The activity may cause discoloration of water. This discoloration can be fixed by running the tap for a few minutes until the water clears. It is possible that some water customers may experience fluctuations in water pressure during the flushing of the system.
