Authorities in Mayes County, OK, arrest a suspect in a string of convenience store robberies in northeast Oklahoma.

 

21-year-old Silas Smith of St. Louis, MO, was arrested in connection to the robberies that occurred on Sunday in Miami, Claremore, and Adair. He was taken into custody after attempting to rob a person at a Dollar General Store in Adair.

 

Smith is currently being held in the Mayes County Jail in Pryor where he faces multiple charges including first-degree robbery, receiving, possessing or concealing stolen property, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
