The Gerber Company announced the recall on January 31 and states that the recall applies to all batches of Gerber Soothe N Chew Teething Sticks Strawberry Apple and Banana flavors. The product was sold nationwide at retail stores and online.
The Food and Drug Administration states that the recall was initiated after customer complaints of choking incidents that included on emergency room visit.
The product can be returned to the place of purchase for a refund.
