Tulsa Police respond to a rather unusual call and have a little fun at their own expense in the process.
Tulsa Police officers responded to an unusual call of a hazard in the roadway in the early morning hours last Saturday. Officers arrived on scene in the 9700 block of East 31st Street just after midnight on Saturday morning to find a large pig in the middle of the street. According to a Facebook post by T-P-D, “Officers attempted to detain the swine, however, the pig was less than compliant and would not obey commands. As is often the case, food is a strong motivator for compliance. Unfortunately, nobody had any donuts in their car, but an Officer had a box of crackers to coerce the pig into cooperating.”
The pig enjoyed a snack and then fled on foot … er, rather, on hoof. The pig led officers on a short pursuit before Animal Control arrived and took the non-compliant pig into custody.
