The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded the boil water advisory for West Mineral in Cherokee County.

The original advisory was issued on January 29 following a water line break that caused the City to use untested water from a water tower. Drinking water samples from the West Mineral public water supply showed no evidence of bacterial contamination and all other conditions that placed the system at risk are deemed by KDHE to be resolved.
