A suspect has been arrested in the January 16th homicide in Pocola, OK.

24-year-old Parker Maxwell Smith was taken into custody on Friday in Fort Smith, Arkansas, by the Fort Smith Police Department. Smith is a suspect in the shooting death of 24-year-old Jaybriel Montgomery, who was found deceased in an abandoned house earlier this month in the City of Pocola eastern Oklahoma near the Arkansas state line. Smith was booked into the Sebastian County jail where he awaits extradition to Oklahoma to face a charge of first-degree murder.
