One person is injured in a car accident at a railroad crossing just north of Columbus.
The accident occurred just after 1pm yesterday afternoon when a 2017 Ford Escape driven by 46-year-old Lisa Wallace of Scammon slowed to yield to a train on the railroad tracks over K-7. Wallace's vehicle was rear-ended by a 2006 Buick Terraza driven by 70-year-old Verne Leeper of Columbus.
A passenger in Wallace's vehicle 21-year-old Anthony Stumpf of Oklahoma City sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. No one else was injured in the crash.
