Independence Fire and EMS responds to a late night chimney fire.
Fire crews were called to a residence at 1031 North 2nd Street late Tuesday night. There they found flames coming from the top of the home's chimney. Fire crews used aerial operations including a water can and dry extinguisher power to combat the blaze. The fire was quickly brought under control with little water damage to the structure. No injuries were reported.
