The Coffeyville City Commission approves the first reading of a Home Rule Ordinance that would transfer ownership of Coffeyville Regional Medical Center from the city to CRMC, Inc.

 

At Tuesday's city commission meeting, Garth Herrmann with Gillmore-Bell, the city's bond counsel told commissioners that the proposed measure would transfer the assets and property of the hospital to the non-profit corporation that currently runs CRMC. Herrmann says the adoption of the ordinance would only change what entity owns the healthcare facility.

 

Herrmann adds that the ordinance would not change the services CRMC provides to the community.

 

The first reading of the ordinance was approved by the commission by a unanimous vote.
