Death of Former KCKPD Detective Ruled Suicide

 

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation concludes its investigation into the death of a former Kansas City, Kansas, Police detective.

 

The K-B-I has determined that the December 2024 death of 71-year-old Roger Golubski of Edwardsville, was a suicide. Golubski was found deceased from a single gunshot wound to the head at his residence on December 2.

 

Golubski was facing federal charges for allegedly sexually assaulting two women while he was on duty. He was set to face his first indictment on the day he was found deceased. The final toxicology report following the autopsy found no significant positive findings and the K-B-I says no foul play is suspected in Golubski's death.
