Montgomery County Commission Approves Payment for Refurbishment of Liberty School

The Montgomery County Commission approves payment for the Montgomery County Council on Aging for repairs made to the Liberty Senior Center.

Henry Schmidt appeared before the Commission at today's (yesterday's) meeting to ask the county for reimbursement for the funds. The Council in Aging had approved $7,000 in September to be used to repair the old school building in Liberty. Schmidt says the total bill came in under that price.

Commissioner Robert Bever says the costs for upkeep really should be the responsibility of the township and not the county.

The Commission approved the $4,560 to the Council on Aging to allow them to pay for the repairs.
