Toronto Fire Department Keeps Busy

 

The Toronto, KS Fire Department finds its resources stretched to the limit fighting a recent fire.

 

Toronto Fire has already been busy with calls this year, and crews responded to another structure fire over the weekend. According to the department, the structure fire on Sunday utilized every piece of department apparatus. During the fire, thousands of gallons of water were used and water shuttle operations were conducted bringing in 4000-6000 gallons per trip. Nearly 20 volunteer emergency personnel worked together from several agencies.

 

Mutual Aid was given to Toronto by Wilson County Rural Fire, Emergency Management, The Wilson County Sheriff's Office, EMS and the Toronto Fire Auxiliary.

 

All occupants and pets were out of the house and accounted for.
