The City of Neodesha receives a state grant to fund improvements to Crowder Park.
The announcement was made at last week's Neodesha City Commission meeting. The Strategic Economic Expansion and Development or SEED grant funds are intended to focus on economic development by enhancing quality of life and requires a 10 percent match from the city. Neodesha City Administrator Brogan Jones says the $22,500 grant will be used to improve a local park.
Jones says the State Department of Commerce was enthusiastic about being able to help fund the improvements.
According to the stipulations of the grant, the work on Crowder Park is to be completed within the next year.
