Part of South Buckeye has reopened to traffic – temporarily.
According to Montgomery County Public Works, the intersection of South Buckeye Street and James School Road has been temporarily reopened to allow traffic while they wait for the project to resume. Buckeye is still closed between Coffeyville and James School Road, but it's now open between the Intersection south to the state line.
The intersection is currently filled with gravel, so drivers are asked to use caution and travel safely through the area. The project started at the end of August of last year and was expected to take 100 working days, but has seen several setbacks over its course, many of which have been due to weather.
