Area residents are invited to celebrate an early Kansas Day tomorrow at the Independence Science and Technology Center.
The event will feature a presentation by the self-described Kansas history Nerd Amanda Allen. Allen will talk about the best that the state of Kansas has to offer with a group discussion to follow. The event is open to all ages but children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The presentation begins at 2 tomorrow afternoon at the Science and Technology Center located at 125 South Penn in Independence. Admission is free.
