Parsons Deputy Chief of Police Selected to Attend FBI National Academy

 

Parsons Police Department Deputy Chief Dennis Dodd is selected to attend the Federal Bureau of Investigation's National Academy.

 

Dodd will attend the prestigious National Academy this summer. Admission to the program is by invitation only. The 10-week course provides courses in intelligence theory, terrorism and terrorist mindsets, management science, law, behavioral science, law enforcement communication, and forensic science. The purpose of the program is to improve the administration of justice in local police departments and to raise law enforcement standards and knowledge.

 

Dodd was first recommended for the course in 2017. Police chief Robert Spinks called Dodd's selection a testament to his commitment and reflects Dodd's hard work in serving the people of Parsons.
