A new bridge in the county and continued improvement to the county courthouse were the main topics of discussion at the Nowata County Commission meeting.

The commissioners discussed a right of way acquisition between the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Guy Engineering for bridge construction in the second district of the county. Commissioner Troy Friddle says the county does play a role in bridge production.

In other business, the commission discussed their ongoing improvements at the courthouse. Commissioner Friddle says they should consider replacing the light fixtures with cheaper LEDs. The commissioners also passed resolutions on surplus declarations, donations through the Nowata County Sheriff's Office and a CIRB Project Priority list.
