Kansas' governor continues to honor a former president while congratulating the new one.
Governor Laura Kelly continues her directive that flags throughout Kansas remain at half-staff in honor of former President Jimmy Carter’s passing. She also wishes to congratulate President Donald Trump on his inauguration in Washington, D.C., as the 47th president of the United States. Kelly says she congratulates President Trump on his inauguration and hopes for a smooth transition. She says she looks forward to working with his administration and making sure the voices of Kansans are heard in Washington, D.C.
