A former teacher in Carl Junction, Missouri, has been arrested on charges of possession of child pornography and stalking.

 According to Carl Junction Police Chief Mark McCall, former junior high vocal music teacher Craig Smith was arrested as a result of an investigation into inappropriate behavior toward a student. Numerous child pornography images were allegedly found on Smith's personal and school-issued electronic devices.

 Authorities say that no images of the stalking victim were included in this material, but the stalking charge is based on a pattern of concerning behavior directed toward a minor student over the last several years.

 Smith is currently being held in the Jasper County jail pending formal charges.
