While the area is getting a taste of spring today, extremely cold temperatures will soon make a return.

According to the National Weather Service, very cold temperatures are expected to start tomorrow night and continue through Tuesday. Wind chills will be in the single digits for southeast Kansas Sunday through Tuesday morning, with portions of south central Kansas seeing below zero wind chills. No precipitation is expected at this time. Temperatures are expected to warm back up by Wednesday.
