KDHE Earns Reaccreditation

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment earns reaccreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board.

The accreditation will last for five years, extending through the year 2029. This means that KDHE continues to meet the national standards for quality and health in public health services. The process sets benchmarks for quality and performance improvement to ensure health departments build infrastructure and engage with the community to address differences in health among groups of people.

KDHE first achieved accreditation in 2017.

The Public Health Accreditation Board is a nonprofit organization supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
