Bestway Sandwiches Inc. is recalling approximately 24,870 pounds of frozen chicken and cheese taquito products that may be contaminated with foreign material.
The recall was announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service last weekend. The frozen chicken and cheese taquito items were produced on July 3, 2024, and September 25, 2024. The product was sold as a 20-oz. carton package containing “CASA MAMITA CHICKEN & CHEESE TAQUITOS,” with Best By Dates of July 3, 2025 and September 25, 2025, on the bottom panel. The recall was issued after the USDA received a consumer complaint reporting that a piece of metal was found in the frozen chicken and cheese taquito product. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
The products were sold at Aldi Grocery Stores nationwide.
