There will be some changes to how finances are recorded in Chautauqua County.

 

The county commission approved Resolution 2025-02 at this week's meeting. County Clerk Niki Collier says this resolution will allow for an easier process of tracking and spending the county budget.

 

Chautauqua County finished 2024 spending under the allotted budget, and are hopeful the resolution provides more clarity and flexibility. Commissioner Parker Massey says utilizing the budget in the most impactful way has been a challenge to navigate.

 

Additionally, the commission received an update from the Public Works department, and approved the minutes from the first meeting of 2025 last week. The Chautauqua County commission meets at 8:30 a.m. on Mondays on the second floor of the Courthouse in Sedan.
