Multiple units are dispatched to a report of a barn fire over the weekend.

 

Saturday around 11 a.m., the Dearing Fire Department was dispatched to County Road 4350 northeast of Dearing. The Coffeyville Fire Department and Coffeyville Regional Medical Center EMS were also on the scene.

 

First responders determined that a hay and manure pile beside the barn had begun to smolder. The embers had not involved the barn. Crews raked out the pile and watered it down to extinguish the embers before any damage to property or livestock occurred.
