An accident today in Montgomery County is an example of why clearing your car of ice and snow is important.

 

Around 10am this morning, a sheet of snow and ice slid off a semi-truck traveling on US-169 just north of Cherryvale. The ice hit a Dodge pickup that was following the tractor-trailer, shattering its windshield and hitting the driver of the truck in the face.

 

The driver was injured, but there is no word as to the extent and seriousness of those injuries.
