A highway collision between a car and a school bus near Foyil leaves one man dead.

 

The accident occurred around 4 o'clock yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon on Highway 28A about five miles east of Foyil. A 2016 Chevy Malibu driven by 30-year-old Isaac Vanover of Jay collided head-on with a school bus. Vanover was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

There were 17 students on board the bus when the accident occurred. None of the students was injured in the crash. The driver of the bus – 39-year-old Jonathan Hall of Claremore – was also uninjured.

 

The cause of the crash does not appear to be weather-related, but the Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues to investigate what caused the accident.
