When it comes to economic development in Cherryvale, city leadership continues to look toward the highway.

 

City Administrator Michael Hall says he's been learning the history and gathering input from citizens on the area.

 

The city recently annexed land just west of 169, and Hall hopes to bring a hotel and new restaurants to the highway corridor.

 

Hall says progress won't happen overnight, but he wants to have a hotel under contract by the end of 2025.
