The amount of snowfall expected for the area has now increased.
The latest from the National Weather Service indicates southeast Kansas could now get 3-4 inches of snow.

The area included in the winter storm warning has also increased and now includes more of northeast Oklahoma, where 4-6 inches of snow could now fall. Northwest Arkansas could see between 6 and 8 inches of snow.

A Winter weather advisory is in place for the entire four-state area.
The advisory is already in place for northeast Oklahoma and starts at noon for southeast Kansas. Snow is expected to start around noon today and continue through Friday morning. In Kansas, areas mainly southeast of the Kansas Turnpike could see 1-3 inches of snow while the latest forecast for the Coffeyville area now calls for 2-4 inches.
The storm is expected to be worse for parts of Eastern Oklahoma, southern Missouri, and almost all of Arkansas including northwest Arkansas where a winter storm warning has been issued. Currently, 4-6 inches of snow is possible for areas within the warning. Impacts are possible for evening commutes tonight and morning commutes tomorrow.
