A decision will soon be reached regarding the Sunflower Skies Solar Project in Wilson County.

 

The commission was scheduled to vote on the approval or rejection of the project during today's meeting, but that decision has been tabled to next week at 10 a.m.

 

After discussions with project representatives, Wilson County commissioners feel like there's still important information that isn't fully known.

 

Additionally, County Sheriff Jack Lucke was thanked for his service to the community in his time in the position. Incoming Sheriff Pete Kuhn was also present, and will assume the role next Wednesday.

 

The Wilson County Commission will meet next Wednesay, January 15th, at 9 a.m. in Room 101 of the County Courthouse in Fredonia.
