State offices in Kansas will be closed tomorrow for the National Day of Mourning for Former President Jimmy Carter.

Governor Laura Kelly made that announcement on December 31. All federal offices including the U.S. Postal Service and federal courts and courthouses will be closed tomorrow as well. Banks are not required to be closed tomorrow, but for those needing to do business with a bank or with any government office tomorrow, it is advised that you call beforehand to make sure they are open.
