Two Arrested in Dewey for Domestic Abuse

A Dewey couple is arrested after an argument turns into domestic abuse.

Officers responded to a residence in regards to the possibility of firearms being inside the home. Upon arrival, they made contact with the two defendants, Joshua Belbot and Destiny Anderson. Belbot says a fight took place between them and a male victim about the cleanliness of the home and disrespect being shown. Belbot says the victim pushed him and then he pushed back and that is when Anderson stepped in. The victim then allegedly hit Anderson. According to officers, the victim had minor cuts and dried blood.

The victim says Belbot pushed him down and when he got up, Anderson hit him in the face. Anderson says the victim disrespected the two defendants and that she hit the victim for self-defense. Officers didn't see any evidence that Anderson had been hit. Each defendant saw their bond set at $5,000 on the condition they have no contact with the victim. They are due back in court on Wednesday, January 22nd.
